Sport comparison

Wakesurfing vs. wakeboarding: which should you try in Miami?

Both sports happen behind the boat, but the experience is different. Wakeboarders remain connected to the tow rope and use a board with bindings. Wakesurfers start with a rope, then ride the boat's wave without it once they find the pocket.

Choose wakesurfing for wave control

Wakesurfing usually happens closer to the boat at a lower speed. Beginners focus on standing, finding the wave's power, and controlling distance with foot pressure. Returning riders can work on turns, 360s, shuv-its, and smoother rope-free lines.

Choose wakeboarding for edge and air

Wakeboarding uses line tension, edging, and wake crossings. A strong foundation starts with the water start and body position, then develops heel-side and toe-side control. Jumps and inverts come later, after the rider can create a predictable approach.

Try both on a private charter

A private format makes it possible to let different guests choose different sports, provided time and conditions allow. Tell the crew the priority during booking so it can load the right gear and protect enough water time for each rider.
